This can be remedied by downloading the latest DCH drivers from Intel website. The underlying reason is your system is missing Thunderbolt DCH drivers. You'd most likely encounter an error message stating it couldn't be installed. Successfully install it is another task all together. This system was running Intel Thunderbolt Software 17.4.77.400. If you search for "Thunderbolt Control Center" in Windows Store, you can easily find it. I found that out the hard way with an Early 2018 Razer Blade Stealth. The first question I had was whether there's an advantage in using the newer utility. The latest Thunderbolt Control Center is officially available through the Windows Store only.
